Melani’s Super Awesome Banana Bread


This is my roommate's phenomenal banana bread recipe. I rewrote it word-for-word from her letter to me! :D 

4 cups whole wheat flour
1 up brown sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt (a pinch, really)
1-2 ripened bananas
1 cup walnuts
*rolled oats (the ones you microwave)
1 ½ cup milk (can add more to make bread moister)

  1. Mix/sift dry ingredients separately; combine
  2. Mix until all lumps are gone & butter has a smooth consistency
  3. Spray/oil bread pan (or whatever pan you’re using)
  4. Bake for 60-70 mins at 350˚
  5. EAT! (insert Japanese here)
*The oats are optional; I like to put some in the mix and to dust the top with so it looks pretty
If you want, you can add cinnamon. I do – a lot of it, too
